Fidel Castro, a Cuban revolutionist and the man responsible for thousands of murders, and imprisonments, as well as destroying millions of families, has died on November 25th, 2016. His death has sparked many top figures to grieve over his death.
Mexican President, Enrique Peña Nieto, stated that Castro “was a friend of Mexico, promoter of a bilateral relationship based on respect, dialogue, and solidarity.”

Bolivia’s President, Evo Morales, said Castro “left us a legacy of having fought for the integration of the world’s people’s.” South Africa’s President ,Jacob Zuma, thanked Fidel Castro, for helping South Africa against the apartheid. India’s Prime Minister, as well as India’s President, expressed their grievance over Castro’s death through Twitter
Fidel Castro was one of the most iconic personalities of the 20th century. India mourns the loss of a great friend.

Heartfelt condolences on sad demise of Cuba’s revolutionary leader, former President & friend of India, Fidel Castro #PresidentMukherjee

Canadian PM, Justin Trudeau praises Fidel Castro as “remarkable leader.” even though Cuba is responsible for imprisoning homosexuals, journalists, or those who simply want to speak freely on what is on their mind.
There will be more expected foreign leaders who will share their condolences with the Communist Leader, who has defied 10 US presidents and demanded $7 Billion from the United States. However, it goes without saying that President-Elect Trump statement was quite in contrast with other foreign leaders.
Fidel Castro is dead!

Not only are foreign leaders expressing positive views of Castro, many prominent figures and professional athletes have shown their support. Just a few days ago, San Francisco’s quarterback Colin Kaepernick was seen wearing a Castro shirt. In response to a reporter Kaepernick uttered “One thing that Fidel Castro did do,” Kaepernick said, “is they have the highest literacy rate because they invest more in their education system than they do in their prison system, which we do not do here, even though we’re fully capable of doing that.”
What’s ironic about Kaepernick’s statement is that if he had kneeled to the Cuban Flag or had kneeled during Fidel Castro’s speech, he would be beaten up and sentenced to jail for a quite a few years. Just recently, the Cuban Ladies in White were arrested for peacefully attending a weekly Catholic Mass, which is prohibited in Cuba, and were immediately carried, beaten, and shipped to jail as you can see below. Now this is what makes it difficult to understand why someone like Pope Francis, who embraces Castro (The man who made nearly all religions illegal to practice in Cuba), announced that Castro’s death was very “sad news.”
The Jewish Community has been currently facing terrible treatment from President Barrack Obama. Announcing $150 Billion will be sent to Iran, was probably the worst news the Jewish Community has heard in a while. However, a large part of the Jewish Community and many others do not know the story of Jewish-American Alan Gross’s story in Cuba.
Alan Gross, who was jailed in Cuba, for simply providing internet access to a small Jewish Community in Cuba. It is truly difficult to comprehend why our US Government had taken five years, to release an American citizen from a poor communist country 90 miles away. He was only released after years of begging and protests by Alan’s wife, Judy Gross, and those who backed her to have President Obama take action.
It is very unfortunate to see many foreign leaders speak very positively, of someone who was essentially one of the most evil leaders our world has ever seen. The corrupt news media, Hollywood elites , and prominent figures have shown their embracement of Castro. This embracement has implemented the brains of many Americans to believing to think that Cuba is, in fact, a well-ran Socialist country.
Cuba will never see any change with our current administration and the way many elitists think about him around the world. President-Elect Trump does seem to have sympathy for Cubans, and Cuban Americans by applying pressure on the Cuban Government. His bold statement on September 16, 2016, said “Those demands [towards Cuba] will include religious and political freedom for the Cuban people and the freeing of political prisoners,”
Easing relations with Cuba, as Obama as vouched for is not the way to conduct business with our enemies. The last thing we need to see in Cuba is to see the Cuban Government receive more wealth from trading and tourism. More wealth will not improve the life conditions of Cubans, but rather more pressure and demands will as President-Elect Trump has briefly mentioned.
Overall, it is very sad to see the amount of praise Fidel Castro has been given. As American people, we need to explore alternative news outlets to actually see what is occurring in our world. Sadly, the death of Fidel Castro, will not change the lives of the struggling Cuban people.
