Teaching Your Child that Abortion is Good is Morally Unacceptable

Abortion is one of the most controversial issues of this generation – and for good reason. It’s sometimes hard to comprehend that the murder of innocent children is something that we even have to argue over as a culture, yet here we are. The murder of innocent children is, and will always be a controversial issue.

While the gift of giving life is something that can only be experienced by women, men have the responsibility of being by their partner’s side to witness the birth of a life that they created together.

Abortion ends that. Abortion rids people of the responsibility of a child and allows them to indulge in the most selfish act of killing another human being for their own benefit. Abortion not only takes the life of an innocent child, it takes that child away from its mother and father. In other words, abortion ends the life of a baby before it even gets to take its first breath or say its first words, or even look upon its mother’s face for the first time.

As a man, I will never experience the gift of being able to birth life but as God intended I will be by my wife’s side (I haven’t proposed yet, but she knows), to witness the birth of our children. That job was intended for women. Women who were once little girls. Little girls, and other young children who apparently, as highlighted by Alexandra DeSanctis at National Review, are being indoctrinated or led to believe that abortion is morally acceptable to God.

I never thought that I would see the day when abortion activists try to teach young children that it’s morally acceptable to kill babies out of convenience – yet here we are.

Or as abortion activist and Shout Your Abortion Co-founder Amelia Bonow stated in the video in question, it’s not killing, it’s more like getting something removed from your body that you don’t want there, “like a crappy dentist appointment or something.” Because nothing says a crappy dentist appointment like dismembering and sucking out a baby from inside you, or something.

You can think of it what you want, but teaching these children, and others who have been exposed to this video, that it is all part of God’s plan to kill innocent babies is just one of the most repulsive things you can do as a human being.

Why people have been able for decades to kill innocent children in the name of human rights is because of their rejection of God and the acceptance of progressivism in His place. In other words, progressivism has been replaced as the new religion in our culture. To progressivism, there is no God. There is no Jesus, no justice, no love. How do we know that this is the case?

In John 15:13, Jesus tells us that “greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.” This is from God himself. Who laid down his life for ours. The power and love behind the creator of the universe giving his life for those who reject him is something that we can only wish to comprehend.

In addition, Paul teaches us in 1 Corinthians 13 that Love is both patient and kind. “It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”

How can you love and not be self-seeking when you are murdering a young child for your own benefit? How can you rejoice in the truth when you are delighting in the evil of murder? It may sound harsh, but what I’m about to say is the truth. You have no love in your heart when you are advocating for an ideology that finds it acceptable to murder innocent children out of pure convenience, and sadly to say for some, pure enjoyment.

Now if you were to look for wise advice from the theology of progressivism and the abortion activists who boast of their great “love” for mothers and children, under the guise of women’s rights, they would tell you something like, “greater love has no one than this, than to slay your own for the benefit of yourself.”

If you don’t believe that this is the theology of the progressive left and of those who reject morality, and love, in the name of nihilism, just view the video yourself of abortion activist Amelia Bonow speaking with young children, some who seem confused as to why she would kill a baby that was growing inside her, others unfortunately accepting of the notion that you can end the life of an innocent child for the simple notion of not wanting it.

As she is speaking with these children, Bonow goes on to say that “mistakes happen.” Procreation is not a mistake. There is no mistake in what God intended our bodies to be used for when we are having intercourse with our partners. The whole point of having sex with your partner as intended for us by God is to procreate. Furthermore, procreation is intended as a means to advance society, so that when the time comes the young can care for the old.

Throughout the rest of the video, which is just riddled with the usual left-wing, pro-abortion talking points that have no substance and no objective backing, Bonow explains that she felt as if she was forced to create life.  “I feel like if I am forced to create life, I have lost the right to my own life,” says Bonow. “I should be the one to decide if my body creates a life.”

This is obviously, both morally and factually incorrect. Bonow did decide when to create life the moment her and her partner decided to have intercourse. No one forced Bonow to create anything. Basic biology and a basic understanding of the human body states that if two people have intercourse with each other, there is a high probability that you will create life. You weren’t forced to do anything. You willfully had sex, and as a result, you are now pregnant. There is nothing forceful about your body doing exactly what it is supposed to be doing.

Yet her statement goes back to what I stated previously in that for progressivism, and pro-abortion activists, there is no greater love than to slay your own for the benefit of yourself.

The nihilism on display by Bonow, and other progressives and pro-abortion activists, is something that we as a society have to address, especially when kids are being taught that the most innocent creatures in the world can be slaughtered out of pure convenience.
